When I read DestinyBlue
piece, I knew I had to finish my Anxiety piece.
To fit in, sometimes we find ourselves wearing a mask. Over time cracks will appear and it can be harder to hide what we want to keep hidden. It's like you can feel everything you're trying to keep hidden seeping through those cracks... It can make you worry about the most insignificant things that are suddenly the worst things that could ever happen. Fear people won't like what they see. Fear of letting people down. Fear that you'll have to let more people know about what's underneath your mask.
Ultimately you have to take that mask off to fix it and we are very selective of who we take that mask off in front of.
The thing is that those cracks aren't something that people can see. They are something we have to deal with ourselves and keep pushing the darkness back down.
This was something I wanted to draw after my diagnosis with Anxiety and I hope it'll speak to people who have the same issue xxxx
